BREAKING: BCCI delays announcement of India squad for South Africa Test Series until next week
Board of Control for Cricket in India has delayed the announcement of the squad for South Africa three-match Test series.
Network 18 Journalist, Vimal Kumar that the squad for SA Test series will be announced a week later in Delhi. The journalist termed it as ‘slower’ process by the BCCI.
“Squad for South Africa test party will be announced in Delhi, a week later. Slower one from BCCI!” the reporter tweeted in his official Twitter handle.
The three Tests will be played on the outskirts of South Africa with the first one at Cape Town from January 5-9, Centurion on Jan 13-17 and The Wanderers on Jan 24-28.
Virat Kohli and Co will have just two days left on their cards after Sri Lanka assignment at home before heading into the South Africa tour without ideal preparations.
With the cricket pitches in South Africa is expected to offer lateral seam movement and relatively lesser bounce, the pacers who hit the deck hard are expected to get benefited.
On the contrary, the track is not a paradise for spinners as they will not gain assistance. Only in case, if the spinners work their socks off, they can hope for a better outcome.
The Indian skipper already told the reporters that he can’t assure the futures of Ravi Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja for South Africa tour and that was clear-cut.
