Bruno Fernandes and Victor Lindelof clash with each other as Man Utd crash out of Europa League after a 2-1 loss to Sevilla in the semifinal.
Manchester United hoped to end the season with silverware. Instead, they’ve ended their campaign with a very public spat between teammates. Despite being the better side for most of the game, their inability to break down their opponent’s defence and two mistakes in their own box cost them the match.

Manchester United converted another penalty early on in the match to take a lead. However, Suso equalised for Sevilla after sneaking in at the backpost behind Brandon Williams. The Spanish side then took the lead after taking advantage of a defensive lapse from the Red Devils in the second half.

In the 78th minute of the match, a cross was sent inside United’s box. The ball found Luuk de Jong who tapped in the winner. Both Victor Lindelof and Aaron Wan-Bissaka combined and allowed for that to happen.

Wan-Bisska had been covering De Jong but suddenly allowed him to move freely without communicating his decision to Lindelof. Lindelof on his part, never bothered to look over his shoulder even once. He got his body position wrong and was caught awkwardly with the cross.
However, star midfielder Bruno Fernandes was far from impressed and was seen squaring up with his teammate. The centreback did not take it lying down and had a shouting match with the Portuguese in the middle of the match as another trophyless season loomed over their heads.

Not sure what foot Lindelof has to stand on here. Bruno Fernandes, rightly, demanding better and calling out mediocrity. Do your job and accept responsibility. #UEL #SEVMUN pic.twitter.com/82eCvah07A

The whistle would blow eventually and confirm the abrupt end of their ambitions.
This match will surely give Ole Gunnar Solskjaer food for thought. United have been looking to bolster their attack with Jadon Sancho their priority this season. However, the club would do well with defensive reinforcements as well.
