Bruno Fernandes wage revealed ahead of his transfer to Manchester United

Bruno Fernandes is one of Manchester United’s top targets this season. They see him as a possible midfield general in the wake of Ander Herrera’s departure on a free and Paul Pogba’s ongoing transfer saga.

While Solskjaer wants to build a United side based on young English talent, he also recognizes the need for players that can bring immediate impact and the higher ups at United believe that Fernandes fits that mold.

Portuguese Newspaper Jornal de Noticias have reported that United have already begun seducing the attacking midfielder. Fernandes’ agent Miguel Pinho is allegedly in the process of thrashing out personal terms with the Red Devils to secure the best possible deal for his client. They have reported that United have offered Fernandes between €5 million and €6 million in wages per season.

While United are yet to make an official bid, they value the midfielder at £32 million. However, the Lions are holding on for €60 million. Bruno Fernandes though, could put pressure on the club and force a move.

Bruno Fernandes will stay at Sporting

In contrast, another Portuguese tabloid, Correio da Manhã talk about Bruno’s possible stay at Alvalade. They claim that Fernandes has a clause in his contract which says that if Sporting reject an offer of €35m or above, his agent gets paid €5m, and his salary is renewed until 2024. This will increase their skipper’s salary from €3m net to €6m gross per season.

They also say Miguel Pinho is in England to receive offers from Manchester United and Tottenham. Sporting Lisbon depart to Switzerland on July 7th. President Federico Varandas has till then to decide if he’s selling Bruno Fernandes.
