Cardiff City vs Manchester United highlights: Manchester United registered an emphatic 5-1 victory over Cardiff City.
Manchester United began their life under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in emphatic fashion with a 5-1 win over Cardiff City.
Marcus Rashford opened the goalscoring in the 4th minute of the game, and Ander Herrera made it 2-0. Anthony Martial restored the two-goal cushion towards the end of the half with a perfect team-goal, while Jesse Lingard scored a brace in the second half to finish a perfect night for Manchester United.
This is the first time when Manchester United scored five goals in a Premier League game since Sir Alex Ferguson’s last game in-charge of the club.
The side is now 8 points behind the top 4 position after Chelsea faced a stunning loss to Leicester City earlier today.
Here’s how fans reacted to the win:
That’s a proper Manchester United performance. Dominating for the 90minutes, free flowing attacking football, playing with no fear. Long may it continue. #mufc

Victor Nilsson Lindelöf carrying the ball 50 metres into space and playing Rashford in. Superb. #mufc

Moreso than the scoring five goals, it’s the constantly trying to score more goals for the entire game (even after you’ve taken all your available forwards off for a rest) – struggling to remember the last time that happened

If the Premier League had started on the day that Ole Gunnar Solskjær took over at Old Trafford, @ManUtd would be top. 🥴

In 90 mins Ole Gunnar Solskjaer (the learner) has put the smiles on UTD fans faces after it took 5 years and 3 experienced managers to remove them.
You can have the experience, the ability and the know how but give me someone who gives the players confidence any day.— Sav (@jonmikesav8) December 22, 2018
Solskjaer applauding the fans and punching the air. Pogba gives his shirt to a fan. Positivity has well and truly returned to United. Remarkable #mufc managerial debut.
