Indian leg spinner Yuzvendra Chahal received a hefty blow from Hardik Pandya in the 1st India-England ODI as the bowler cried in pain.

Yesterday concluded the first of three ODI’s between India and England at Trent Bridge. In this match, India defeated world no 1 England rather convincingly, by 8 wickets and 59 balls remaining.

India started the tour wonderfully by defeating England in T20 series.

England was going strong in the match when Indian pacers were operating. But as soon as spin was introduced, it was curtains for English. Even though Chahal ended up with just one wicket, but his bowling proved the perfect foil for Kuldeep on the other end, who ran through English lineup with six wickets.

A funny moment came when Chahal tumbled in the match, which brought him unfortunate comparisons with Brazilian footballer Neymar Jr, who was infamously trolled around the world for his exaggerated tumble during a match in ongoing World Cup.

Chahal bowled the last bowl of 28th over to Stokes, who nudged the ball with soft hands on the leg side to sneak a single. Seeing a runout opportunity, Pandya grabbed the ball with a quick release at non-striker end. Chahal in an attempt to cover the throw was caught on behind his knees and reacting to it, Chahal whirled on the ground in a dramatic fashion.

Here is what transpired:

This incident brought a joy for Trent Bridge crowd and landed Chahal in grabs of Twitter trollers, who took a surmise at unfortunate cricketer.
