TheSportsRush brings Liverpool’s expected lineup vs PSG, as they host the French champions at Anfield.
Liverpool have enjoyed a perfect start to their league campaign so far, winning all five of their five matches. Jurgen Klopp’s side are on a terrific run of form, having beaten Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.
The Merseyside club will now begin their Champions League campaign next week, as they host Paris Saint Germain. Liverpool reached the final of the premier European club tournament last year, where they lost to Zidane’s Real Madrid.
Liverpool’s group in the Champions League also includes Serie A side Napoli, and Red Star Belgrade from Serbia.
Let’s take a look at how Liverpool might line up for the match against PSG.
Goalkeeper: Alisson
The Brazilian signing has been solid in front of the goal for Liverpool. With a heavy-weight fixture like Paris Saint Germain to begin the Champions League, Klopp is unlikely to make a change in the goalkeeping position.
Defence: Alexander-Arnold, van Dijk, Gomez, Robertson
Klopp is expected to field the same back-four which has been key to Liverpool’s wins in the Premier League so far. van Dijk has been rock solid in the defence for the Merseyside club, and Alexander-Arnold has also been impressive for the club this season.
Midfield: Fabinho, Keita, Milner
James Milner was terrific for Liverpool against Tottenham Hotspur, and is expected to retain his place in the side. Fabinho might be spending time on the sidelines at the moment, but can earn a start against PSG as he used to play in the same league as the French side before joining Liverpool.
Forward: Salah, Firmino, Mane
Liverpool’s front three, will again be the key for Klopp’s side against Paris Saint Germain. Roberto Firmino has already netted three goals for Liverpool in the Premier League, and Salah and Mane have been decent in the campaign so far.
