Things are clearly not looking up for Chelsea as the side lost to their own youth team during the training session.

Chelsea faced a stunning 6-0 defeat to Manchester City in the Premier League last weekend.

With this loss, Chelsea dropped out of the top four positions and currently stand at sixth in the league.

Maurizio Sarri stated that it was difficult to describe the performance from Chelsea and that he doesn’t know what went wrong.

The fans and pundits, meanwhile, insist that the Chelsea players are unable to play under the tactically complex system of ‘Sarriball.’ Well, further bad news awaited Maurizio Sarri as the team took part in the training session on Monday.

Chelsea lost to their own youth team:

The Chelsea squad assembled for the training session after a heavy defeat at the Etihad Stadium.

However, things quickly turned for the worse. According to The Times, the Blues lost to their own youth team in the training session.

The report states that Sarri gave a run-in to the unused substitutes, which included Willian and Olivier Giroud. However, the youth side proved too good for the senior team in the training session.

Sarri’s future had been in doubt after reports suggested that the manager will be talking to Chelsea’s president Roman Abramovich.

Chelsea have lost their last four away games and will travel to Malmo as they play the first leg of the round-of-32 of the Europa League.

The Times further reports that things looked up for Chelsea in the training session on Tuesday as the development squad played out a draw with the side’s senior team.

On a brighter note, the games in the training session might have given Sarri the opportunity to handpick the talents from the youth team for a potential run-in with the senior side during Chelsea’s upcoming games across all competitions.

After their Europa League clash against Malmo, Chelsea will play Manchester City again in the final of the Carabao Cup on February 24.
