Chelsea News: Callum Hudson-Odoi wants two assurances to sign new contract following Hazard's exit

Callum Hudson-Odoi wants two assurances to sign a new contract at Chelsea.

Callum Hudson-Odoi’s future was hanging in the air until the January transfer window. The English International was subjected to four bids from Bayern Munich, but the Blues turned them down all. Since then, he was a regular starter in the Europa League and made four starts in the Premier League before pulling out for rest of the season with an achilles injury.

He did not disappoint when he was on the pitch and did significantly well. The 19-year-old wants two assurances to sign a new contract at Chelsea, say the Goal.

Hudson-Odoi is reportedly keen on taking the side in his own hands as he wants to be the main man in the offensive part of the play for Chelsea following Eden Hazard’s departure. The Belgian International has been strongly linked with a move to Real Madrid this summer. The English outfit are playing hardball over his departure, but the likelihood of an offer worth £100 million being accepted looks likely.

Besides being used as the mainframe in the frontline, Hudson-Odoi wants jersey number 10, which was used by Eden Hazard over the last seven years. It was beforehand used by the Spaniard Juan Mata. If those two demands are assured by Maurizio Sarri, Callum Hudson-Odoi will stay put and sign a new contract at Stamford Bridge.

It is a no brainer for the Blues, who are wanting Callum to stay at Chelsea. Bayern will reignite their interest in Hudson-Odoi, but he looks likely to stay if the demands are met. Having been hit with a transfer ban, they will surely require the services of the English International post-summer.
