Chelsea Vs Liverpool Line Up: How Frank Lampard's Chelsea will line up against Liverpool?

Here is how Chelsea could lineup against Liverpool.

Chelsea will take on Chelsea in the UEFA Super Cup in Istanbul on Wednesday. Former Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri was successful during his only season at the club by clinching the Europa League, while Jurgen Klopp ended the seven-year trophy drought at Liverpool with the penultimate Champions League winners medal.

It was tough for Frank Lampard with the Blues. Chelsea were significant in the early stages of the game against Manchester United, but ended up losing the game 4-0. It was not a fair reflection of the game and Lampard will be aware that mistakes will be costly.

Liverpool won the game 4-1, but they did not look at their best. It was an easy game for them, but they went toe-to-toe against Manchester City in the Community Shield, before losing on penalties. However, goalkeeper Alisson Becker will sit out for the next few weeks, while Sadio Mane could feature in the eleven.

The reigning Champions League winners enter this game as favourites, but Frank Lampard will be determined to get over the line more than anybody to impose calm atmosphere.

We shall look at Chelsea’s team for the Super Cup clash.

INJURY

Frank Lampard confirmed that midfielder N’Golo Kante will be assessed before taking on Liverpool. The midfielder picked up a small injury on Sunday. Callum Hudson-Odoi, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, and Antonio Rudiger will remain on the sidelines.

LIKELY XI

Chelsea: Kepa Arrizabalaga, Cesar Azpilicueta, Andreas Christensen, Kurt Zouma, Emerson Palmieri, Jorginho, Mateo Kovacic, Mason Mount, Pedro, Willian, Olivier Giroud.
