India will be expected to clean sweep this series as the Lankans have been extremely poor over the last few months.

India already smashed them up when they toured Lanka a couple of months ago, which is why no one expects any different result this time around. The squad has already been announced and it is a very strong group of players that have been picked up by the selectors.
The biggest surprise from the test squad is the omission of Hardik Pandya. The Baroda all-rounder was rested by the selectors because they feel he needs some time off after a very hectic last few months.
Pandya has become a crucial element of team India’s squad and will surely be looking to get some rest ahead of the next big round of matches.
The first test match starts in Kolkata which will take place in a couple of days time.
