Phillippe Coutinho opened the goalscoring for Barcelona against Leganes in a terrific fashion. The Brazilian star scored an outstanding volley from outside the box, after a skilful pass from Lionel Messi.
Barcelona aims to maintain their position at the top of the table after a disappointing draw against Girona, which saw a controversial red card for Clement Lenglet. Barcelona appealed against the red card but the Competition Committee dismissed it, which resulted in Lenglet serving a one-match ban.
Ernesto Valverde’s side are level on points with Real Madrid.

This was Coutinho’s 10th goal in the Spanish league ever since his arrival at Barcelona in January from Liverpool.
This was the Brazilian’s second La Liga goal of the season.
