South African pacer Kagiso Rabada is currently leading the South African pace attack in the 1st test in Brisbane, where he took the wicket of David Warner on the very first ball of the Australian innings. Rabada has been the ace pacer for Proteas in all three formats of the game.
It is interesting that South Africa cancelled their white-ball series against Australia to play in the SA20 League. After this series, the players will move to different T20 leagues team to play in franchise cricket.
Kagiso Rabada admits occasional fatigue amid hectic cricket scheduling
Kagiso Rabada is the ace pacer of the South African cricket team, and he has been constantly playing in all three formats of the game for the Proteas. He recently was talking with Pat Cummins in an exclusive interaction on cricket.com.au, where he talked about the impact of playing too much cricket.
Rabada said that it is tough to play the game with full desire considering the number of games players are playing nowadays. He said that the players are human beings as well, and they also need an adequate amount of rest before two tournaments.
“The volume of cricket that you play these days, I won’t even lie – as much as we love the game and I always get back into like wanting to play and wanting to have the drive, sometimes it’s hard to get the drive with the amount of cricket that we play,” Kagiso Rabada said as per cricket.com.au.
“At the end of the day, we are human beings. Imagine being up for every single game that you play with the amount of fixtures that we have.”
Rabada recently played in the T20 World Cup before this ongoing test series. After the test series, he will play for MI Cape Town in the SA20 League, and then the IPL season will start. It is safe to say that the pacer won’t be getting a break from cricket.
