Mumbai Indians is the most successful franchise in the history of the IPL, and they have finally made the franchise global by signing a couple of teams in the upcoming ILT20 League and SA20 League. On Thursday, they revealed the official match outfits of both the new teams.

MI Cape Town is the name of the SA20 League team, and they did some terrific work in the auction as well. With players like Rashid Khan, Liam Livingstone, Kagiso Rabada, Sam Curran, etc in their ranks, they are the firm favourites to win the crown of the inaugural edition of the tournament.

Mahela Jayawardene and Zaheer Khan have also been elevated to the global role of the franchise, and they will be having a close eye on all the teams under the Mumbai Indians’ umbrella.

Mumbai Indians have launched the jerseys of their two new teams MI Emirates and MI Cape Town in the ILT20 League and SA20 League in UAE and South Africa, respectively. Just like the IPL franchise, the blue and gold combination has been continued in these outfits as well.

The designer duo of Shantnu & Nikhil have designed both of them, and they have dedicated them to the fans of the MI Family all around the world. The MI Cape Town jersey has different shades of blue along with some golden finishes.

“MI Cape Town jersey is a modern artist’s interpretation of savannas, faunal stripes, abundance of natural resources that lies in the rich culture and heritage of the region. The jersey mirrors the legacy of the land celebrating its people,” The official statement from the website read.

To the naked eye, the colour of the MI Cape Town jersey looks close to the Mumbai Indians’ jersey in the initial years of the Indian Premier League. The SA20 League will start in January 2023, and MI Cape Town is one of the firm favourites to win the title.
