714 Indians and 277 Overseas players list was almost halved on Tuesday to 273 Indians and 132 Overseas players, as the BCCI truncated the same for the mini auction ahead of IPL 2023, set to take place on December 23 at Kochi. Of these, the total capped players are 119, uncapped are 282, while four players comprise from the Associate nations.

Out of this final list, only a maximum of 87 players (including only 30 Overseas players) can be roped in by the 10 franchises ahead of the next edition of the league.

As is the norm, the auction process will begin with the bids of capped players in this particular order of their specialization – Batters, Allrounders, Wicket-keeper batters, Fast bowlers, Spinners, and then followed by the same order for the uncapped players.

It is worth of a mention, that only the first 86 players from these respective sets will certainly be part of the auction, with the accelerated round to begin from the 87th player onwards. This round will cover the rest of the final list of players, up to number 405.

A total of 19 players are in the INR 2 Crore base price bracket, which includes red-hot names in Sam Curran, Cameron Green, Ben Stokes, Nicholas Pooran etc.

There are 19 players in the INR 1.5 Crore division, 11 players in the INR 1 Crore bracket, 20 in the INR 1 Crore bracket, and another 9 in the INR 75 Lakh.
