Australia’s home international summer 2022-23 is all in readiness of moving to its next leg in the form of a three-match Test series against South Africa beginning in Brisbane from tomorrow. The first of three Tests will be these two teams’ first bilateral Test series against each other since the infamous Australia’s tour of South Africa 2018.

Although Australia have lost their last three Tests and last two series against South Africa, they have an excellent overall head-to-head record (52 wins and 26 losses) against them in this format. Australia win-loss ratio against the Proteas further improves at home with 21 wins and 10 losses in 41 Tests over the years.

In what is going to be the 28th Australia-South Africa bilateral Test series, Australia have won 17 as compared to six South African series wins. Australia, who will be hosting South Africa for the 12th time in a bilateral Test series, have won five but lost the last three series in a row against them. South Africa, who haven’t lost a Test series down under since 2005, have won three out of their last four Test series against the Aussies.
Australia vs South Africa 1st Test Live Telecast Channel in India and Australia
Sony Pictures Sports Network will be broadcasting South Africa’s tour of Australia 2022 in India just like they’ve been doing with other cricket being played in the country lately.
It is noteworthy that Sony are yet to reveal the name of the exact channel which will be televising this match for the Indian audiences. With a Bangladesh-India Test match being played simultaneously, there are chances of Sony not televising the Gabba Test at all. Therefore, Indian fans might have a lone option in Sony LIV, official streaming app of Sony, for watching the first Australia-South Africa Test match.
As far as the local fans in Australia are concerned, they will be able to watch this series on both Channel 7 and Foxtel. Meanwhile, Kayo Sports will be live streaming Brisbane Test for the Australian audiences.
Looking forward to working with you @RickyPonting and the @7Cricket crew for the #AUSvSA series #goosebumps https://t.co/W4J1aD4qMl
