Axar Patel brother name and family members: Are Axar Patel and Harshal Patel brothers?

Indian all-rounder Axar Patel played a big part for the Indian team in registering a win in the first T20I against Sri Lanka at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Patel was excellent with both bat and the ball, and he would want to continue it in the rest of the series.

The Indian team’s top order failed in the first T20I, but the duo of Deepak Hodda and Axar Patel helped the Indian team. Patel scored 31 runs in just 20 balls with the help of three boundaries and one six to prove his efficiency with the bat. In bowling, he was given the responsibility to ball the last over.

Sri Lanka needed 13 runs to win the last over, which is not a big task in Wankhede. Hardik Pandya was suffering from cramps, and he gave the ball to Axar. Axar conceded just 10 runs, and India won the match by 2 runs. It was an excellent over by the Indian all-rounder.

Axar Patel brother name and family members

Axar Patel was born and brought up in Nadiad, Gujarat, and he never wanted to be a cricketer. He wanted to become a mechanical engineer, but a friend noticed his talent at the age of 15, and the rest in history. The story of how his name changed from ‘Akshar’ to ‘Axar’ is also quite interesting.

Rajesh Patel is Axar’s father, whereas Pritiben Patel is his mother. He also has one elder brother (Sanship Patel) and one elder sister (Shivangi Patel). Rajesh Patel played a vital part in shaping his son’s career, and he even enrolled Axar in a gym so that he can become physically stronger to play the game.

Axar’s fellow Indian cricketer Harshal Patel is also from Gujarat, but he plays for Haryana in the domestic circuit. Patel’s family lives in the USA, and he had the chance to take citizenship there, but he instead decided to pursue his passion in India. There are no family relations between Axar and Harshal of any kind.
