Babar Azam has yet again proved his doubters wrong by scoring an excellent century against New Zealand in the 1st test at the National Stadium in Karachi. After a series whitewash against England, the Pakistan team was in pressure and their captain played a classy knock to rescue them.

Batting first, Pakistan were 110-4 at one stage, and it was looking like yet another collapse for them. However, Babar had other ideas, and he got a brilliant partner in Sarfaraz Ahmed. He scored his 9th test century during the process and his efforts were applauded by the Kiwi players as well.
During his knock, he broke Mohammad Yousuf’s record of scoring the most runs in a calendar year by a Pakistani batter. Babar has scored the most runs in this calendar year, and he is in no mood of stopping. He is looking comfortable at the crease, and the Blackcaps bowlers will have to get him out in order to start a fightback.
Babar was very comfortable against the Kiwi spinners, and he even completed his century by smashing six on Michael Bracewell’s delivery. Neil Wagner tried to trouble Babar with different angles, but the lack of bounce made Babar’s job easy. The way Babar was playing his drives was excellent to watch, and with the form he is in at the moment, it will require a special effort from the bowlers to get him out.
Shadab Khan mesmerized by Babar Azam 9th Test century
Pakistan’s leg spinner Shadab Khan, who is Babar’s deputy in the T20Is has applauded the century of Babar Azam. This is not the first time that players are coming in support of Pakistan’s captain. Earlier, Haris Rauf and Shaheen Afridi also offered their support to Babar, who was criticized a lot for his performances as captain.
“Babar King Azam. Loved watching your century. Keep shining, keep showing your class skipper,” Shadab Khan tweeted.
