All-rounder Bas de Leede has engraved his name in the Netherlands’ cricketing history by helping his nation secure qualification for ICC World Cup 2023. The all-rounder has cricket in his blood as his father was also an international cricketer who played in a total of three different ODI World Cups between 1996-2007.

de Leede started playing cricket at a very young age and has represented his country in U-15 and U-19 divisions as well. He made his List A debut in 2017 playing for KNCB XI against Zimbabwe Select XI. It was not a memorable day where he scored just 24 and his bowling figures were 0/39 in 3.4 overs.
de Leede, however, went on to make his international debut in 2018. Netherlands is said to have just 6,500 active cricketers at the moment and de Leede is one of their best prospects. He was born in Nootdorp and started as a pacer in the initial days before adapting into the role of an all-rounder.
Bas de Leede Family
Tim de Leede is Bas’s father and he represented his country in the 1996, 2003 and 2007 World Cups. During the 2003 World Cup, he won the Player of the Match award for his brilliant bowling in a losing effort against India. Tim had dismissed legendary Indian batters namely Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid.
Bas has a younger brother named Tom de Leede who currently plays in the U-16 division. His cousin Babette de Leede is also an international cricketer. She is a wicket-keeper batter in the Netherlands Women’s team. She is six years younger than Bas and both of them have been spotted together quite a few times. There is no information in the public domain about Bas’ mother.

Th 23-year-old all-rounder is unmarried as of now and there is neither any official information about his love life. He can be considered as single as nothing related to it can be found even on his Instagram handle.
