The final match of the ongoing 10th season of the Big Bash League will be played on February 6 at the Sydney Cricket Ground. While Sydney Sixers have booked a spot in the final by defeating Perth Scorchers comprehensively in the Qualifier, one out of Scorchers or Brisbane Heat will lock horns with the defending champions on Saturday.

Sixers, who had also won the inaugural season of the BBL, have a chance of equaling Scorchers (3) with respect to most BBL titles won by a single franchise. Scorchers, on the other hand, would be looking to defeat Heat on Thursday and stand a chance of gaining an unassailable lead.

Heat, the third team in the run, have a solitary BBL title to their name which dates back to 2013 when they had defeated Scorchers by 34 runs in Perth.

It was earlier this morning that Sydney Sixers had announced that the tickets for the final match have been sold out. It is worth mentioning that all the available tickets for the general public had been bought within an hour on Monday.

However, in what has come as a significant development for BBL fans in Australia, crowd capacity for the final match has been increased to 75% after NSW Government, NSW Health, Venues NSW and Cricket NSW’s dedicated efforts will reap fruits for the general public.

“Today’s announcement of an increased capacity for the KFC BBL|10 Final means that over 28,000 fans and SCG members will be able to attend what is sure to be a thrilling season finale on Saturday.

“We’re incredibly grateful to the NSW Government, NSW Health, Venues NSW and Cricket NSW for making this possible and ensuring the season ends on a high. We can’t wait to see our Sydney fans for the first time this KFC BBL season,” Cricket Australia’s Head of Big Bash League Alistair Dobson said in a statement.

How to book tickets for Big Bash League 2021 final match in Sydney?

The tickets for BBL 2020-21 final match can be bought from Ticketek. You can visit either their website or application to book the tickets. All you have to do is click on “KFC Big Bash League 2020-21” on the homepage to begin with.

Under the the final match (second row), click on “Find tickets”. The next step will require you to select a date (06/02/2021) for which you want your ticket(s). At this point in time, you will received a warning stating “General Public Allocation Exhausted”.

Fans must note that the new lot for the available tickets will be made public at 09:00 AM (AEDT) on February 3 (Wednesday). Given the demand for the SCG final, interested people shouldn’t delay booking their tickets tomorrow. The same will require them to follow simple steps to complete the transaction on Ticketek.
