The last Border Gavaskar trophy between Australia and India was one of the most iconic series where Rishabh Pant played an iconic knock to breach Australia’s fortress at the Gabba. Australia will now travel to India next year, and the schedule of the same is finally revealed.

The test series will be looked at with great interest as both teams have produced some iconic games in the longest format of the game. When Australia last travelled to India, they played really well on the turning tracks, and a competitive series is expected this time as well.

There will be a total of 7 matches on the tour (4 tests and 3 ODIs), and the players will then directly take part in the Indian Premier League 2023. The test series will carry a lot of importance in the World Test Championship table as well.

Border Gavaskar Trophy 2023 schedule

Australia’s tour of India 2023 will start with the 4-match test series with the first test starting on 9th February at the VCA Stadium in Nagpur. Delhi (Arun Jaitley Stadium), Dharamsala (HPCA Stadium) and Ahmedabad (Narendra Modi Stadium) will host the other tests of the series.

After the test series, there will be a 3-match ODI series starting on 17 March at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The 2nd and 3rd will be played in Visakhapatnam and Delhi, respectively. With the ODI World Cup later in India, this series can be an important one for both sides.

2nd ODI: 19th March 2023 (Dr. Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy International Cricket Stadium, Visakhapatnam)

3rd ODI: 22nd March 2023 (MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai)
