CSK vs DC Head to Head Records: The SportsRush presents for you the Head to Head statistics for the second match of IPL 2021.

The second match of the ongoing 14th season of the Indian Premier League will be played between Chennai Super Kings and Delhi Capitals at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai tomorrow.

Chennai will witness the comeback of vice-captain Suresh Raina, who had missed the last season of the biggest T20 league in the UAE. Therefore, this will be Raina’s first IPL season as a retired international cricketer.

In a first-off for Delhi, they will be led by wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant for the first time after regular captain Shreyas Iyer has been ruled out of IPL 2021 due to an injury. The prospect of Pant, who has on many occasions sort of behaved as Dhoni’s apprentice due to their similar profiles on a cricket ground, kick-starting his IPL captaincy career against Super Kings is an intriguing one.

A similarity between both the teams which will affect their combinations for their season opener is South African players being their first-choice overseas pacers. With the likes of Lungi Ngidi, Kagiso Rabada and Anrich Nortje set to miss this match as they are currently undergoing a mandatory quarantine period, both the teams will have to start their IPL 2021 campaign without their best bowling unit.
