Delhi vs Punjab Head to Head Record in IPL History

Indian Premier League 2023 will witness its first clash between Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings at the Arun Jaitley Stadium tomorrow. Scheduled to resume their rivalry after almost a year, these two teams have won 15 matches against each other in all these years.

Been part of several closely fought encounters, these two teams might end up registering another such contest in the national capital on a Saturday night in their quest of a much-needed victory. Placed at the 10th and eighth position on the points table respectively, neither of DC or PBKS can afford a loss at this stage of the tournament.

Capitals, who have won the last four matches in this rivalry, had defeated Kings by 17 runs during their last clash at the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy last year. Although he no longer plays for them, Shardul Thakur had picked a match-winning four-wicket haul to restrict the opposition to 142/9 to successfully defend a 160-run target.

Speaking particularly of this venue, Delhi have a 6-5 lead over Punjab at their home ground. Scheduled to host this opponent after a four-year period, the hosts would be looking maintain their unbeaten spree against them since 2014.
