Batter Devon Conway has been a consistent force for Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League. He is the highest run-scorer of the side so far in the ongoing 16th season. It is to note that Conway has not played for any team apart from Chennai in the history of the IPL.

Having made his debut for CSK last year, Conway was not given many opportunities in his maiden season but he did utilize the ones which came his way. Conway is the fifth-highest run-scorer this season so far. In 13 innings, he has managed to score 585 runs at an average of 53.18 courtesy of six half-centuries. He has a strike-rate of 138.62 and has smashed 69 fours and 16 sixes.

Conway was born and brought up in Johannesburg, South Africa. He has played grade cricket there, but at the age of 26 in 2017, he moved his base to New Zealand. Conway has often revealed that he sold everything including his house and car to switch countries.
In 2018, he got a contract with Wellington in domestic cricket. He finally made his debut for New Zealand in a T20 match against West Indies in 2020. Conway has got a South African nationality. He is representing the Black Caps at the international stage, and he has a New Zealand citizenship as well.
