With eyes on a series whitewash, and to further improve their percentage points in order to qualify for the World Test Championship final, they will take on Bangladesh in the second and final match of the series from December 22 onwards, at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur.
KL Rahul will lead the Indian side yet again, with Rohit Sharma yet to recover from the thumb injury he had suffered during the second ODI, a couple of weeks ago.

The development has meant that Shubman Gill, who smashed his maiden Test century during the first match, will likely open the innings yet again alongside Rahul.
As for Bangladesh, it was their poor show with the bat during the first innings that led to their defeat. The management, however, will be confident of a better performance during the second Test, after the way the batters, especially the debutant Zakir Hasan fared up with the steep chase ahead of them.

Dhaka pitch report 2nd Test
Akin the two ODIs that the Shere Bangla National Stadium hosted a couple of weeks ago, the pitch at this venue will yet again bring the spinners into play quite early. They will manage to extract grip, turn, and bounce during the course of the second Test, with the pitch condition likely to only improve for them from the third day onwards.
Having said that, the pitch will remain flat throughout the Test, and the batters will surely enjoy their time once they spend some time at the crease and get their eye in.
The last time a Test match was played at this venue (May 2022), the Sri Lankan and Bangladeshi batters collectively hit four centuries and five half-centuries during the four innings.
The match outcome might well be decided on how well the spinners from each side bowl during the duration of the Test.
