Sher e Bangla Stadium average score in ODI: Highest successful run chase in Mirpur ODIs

With eyes on the ODI edition of the World Cup next year, team India and Bangladesh will begin with their preparations for the same, as they take on each other in a three-match series starting today (Sunday).

Indian all-format skipper Rohit Sharma, who has played mere six ODIs this year, is back as captain in the series, after going through the lows of the Asia Cup followed by the T20 World Cup last month.

Virat Kohli is likely to take his usual no.3 spot in the batting order, while KL Rahul will most probably take up the no.5 spot for the first time this year, having played mere 7 ODIs this year as an opener.

The absence of Jasprit Bumrah continues to pose question marks on the Indian pace attack, which is likely to be lead by Mohammad Siraj and Deepak Chahar in the upcoming series after Mohammed Shami was ruled out due to shoulder injury.

Bangladesh, who are sans their regular ODI skipper Tamim Iqbal and in-form pacer Taskin Ahmed, are likely to pose minimal threat to the Indian line-up, which might well mean handing out opportunities to the likes of Rahul Tripathi, Rajat Patidar, Kuldeep Sen, and Shahbaz Ahmed.
