Man of the Series in England vs West Indies: Head coaches of both the teams selected a player from the opposition team as the Man of the Series.

During the fifth day of the third Test of the recently concluded West Indies’ tour of England in Manchester, England defeated West Indies by 269 runs to win the three-match Test series 2-1.

Despite brief rain interruptions on the last day of the historic series, English bowlers especially Chris Woakes and Stuart Broad did enough damage to bundle out the opposition for 129 in 37.1 overs.

Broad, who continued his stellar form in the series with drawing first blood in the morning session, dismissed West Indies vice-captain Kraigg Brathwaite (19) to register his 500th Test wicket and eventually pick bowling figures of 8.1-1-36-4.

Woakes, on the other hand, persisted with his brilliant record at home on the back of his fourth five-wicket haul. Having registered bowling figures of 11-0-50-5, Woakes now has 81 wickets in 21 home Tests at an average of 22.53 and a strike rate of 43.2.
