After describing how his cricketing journey began from the Delhi Stadium itself, and expressing gratitude on being blessed with everything he has in life at present, Kohli especially mentioned how having actor-cum-wife Anushka Shara on the tours with him is the most important thing for him in his life.
Emphasizing how the family is paramount for him and Cricket is just another part of his life, the RCB batter admitted ‘feeling great’ every time she is present to cheer for him at the match venue.
“I feel nothing but gratitude, God has blessed me with such amazing things, I can only bow down. I have always said it from day one, having Anushka on tours with me, it’s the most important thing for me. Family time is more important to me than anything else. I just come out and enjoy my cricket, cricket is just a part of my life. It feels great when she (Anushka) comes to watch me in the stadium,” remarked Kohli during an interaction with Star Sports Network, during the mid-innings break.
RCB lose in a one-sided contest
On the back of Virat Kohli’s 55 (46) and Mahipal Lomror’s 54* (29), RCB did post 181/4 on the board after batting first, but it was never enough as Delhi aced the chase by 7 wickets, and with 20 deliveries to spare.
