Gujarat Titans Highest Successful Run Chase in IPL History

Gujarat Titans will look to make it 14 wins out of 17 matches while chasing in Indian Premier League history, as they play the last league match against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the ongoing 16th season of the coveted league.

Two of these losses while chasing have arrived this year itself. While they failed to chase down the target of 131 runs against Delhi Capitals in Ahmedabad, they had found themselves on the receiving end to Mumbai Indians‘ total of 218/5 most recently at the Wankhede Stadium.

The fact that they had lost mere one match while chasing during their debut IPL season last year, was instrumental in them lifting the title on their very first attempt.

Gujarat Titans Highest Successful Run Chase in IPL History

Gujarat Titans’ highest successful run-chase in IPL history had arrived last year at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium. They had chased down the total of 195/6 posted by Sunrisers Hyderabad in what was an edge-of-a-seat thriller, with the target being accomplished on the last ball of the match.

The duo of Rahul Tewatia (40*) and Rashid Khan (31*) had scored 22 runs off the last six deliveries, with the latter hitting two consecutive sixes off the final two deliveries of the over bowled by Marco Jansen.

In the ongoing season, their highest successful run-chased had arrived against Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens.

They had chased down the total of 179/7 with 13 deliveries to spare. Vijay Shankar (51*) and David Miller (32*) were the stars with the bat for GT in the middle order.
