The Harmanpreet Kaur-led side is presently in South Africa itself, where they are partaking in the T20I Tri-Series with South Africa and West Indies as the two other teams.
While team India managed to defeat the hosts comfortably by 44 runs in the series opener on Thursday, they did so in the absence of Harmanpreet, Renuka Singh, Shikha Pandey, Shafali Verma, and even Richa Ghosh. While Ghosh and Shafali are part of the Indian Under 19 team currently partaking in the World Cup, the initial three players were reportedly unwell after coming in contact with a bug.
“The area where we’re put up has forests, beaches. Some players took ill due to an allergy and have a bit of fever, cough, weakness”, remarked Amanjot Kaur, who won the ‘Player of the Match’ award on her international debut for her knock of 41* (30).
The team will next take on the West Indies on Monday, and it remains to be seen whether or not Harmanpreet and the rest of the affected players do manage to regain their match fitness or not.
Harmanpreet Kaur husband name
The 33-year-old Harmanpreet Kaur has not been married as yet, and there are no reports of her presently seeing or dating someone as well.
Born in March 1989, in the Moga district of Punjab to Harmandar Singh Bhullar and Satwinder Kaur, Harmanpreet has three siblings as well (two brothers and a sister).
As far as her marriage is concerned, the family has not pressurized her whatsoever as to come up with a suitable age or year for the same, which is unlike most traditional family set-ups in India.
“Cricket first. Right from the childhood, we wanted to her be a batsman. We can’t deny her right to build her career and ability to win laurels for India as a female star,“ remarked Harmandar during an interview five years ago.
