In 2015, India and Bangladesh and were playing against each other. Both Sharma and Dhawan and standing in the slip cordon when the left-handed batter came up with an impromptu singing performance. Dhawan’s actions not just surprised Sharma, but Bangladesh batter Tamim Iqbal was amazed as well. Iqbal was at the strike when Dhawan recited a song.
When Rohit Sharma Couldn’t Control Laughter Due To Shikhar Dhawan’s Song
Dhawan and Sharma were talking to fellow opener Mayank Agarwal on his show ‘Open Nets with Mayank’ during the COVID-19 pandemic. Sharma shared this hilarious incident and insisted that all of them couldn’t stop their laughter on the ground.
“We were playing in Bangladesh in 2015, Shikhar was in the third slip, and I was in the first or second slip. I don’t know what happened to him. Suddenly he started singing very loudly,” Rohit had said.
“Tamim Iqbal, who was taking the strike, was left amazed. It might not sound as funny right now, but when it happened on the field we couldn’t control our laughter.”
Dhawan is a happy-go-lucky guy and he is one of those players who has always been jolly with his teammates. This was just one of many incidents which made his fellow players laugh.
