Headingley Carnegie Weather Tomorrow: Leeds Weather Report For July 9 Day 4

With more than two sessions washed out due to rain on the third day of the ongoing third Ashes 2023 Test match between England and Australia, all eyes are on Headingley’s weather forecast for tomorrow, i.e., Day 4 of the match. Not expected to be completely bereft of rain, Leeds’ weather report for Sunday is comparatively better.

Although the possibility is to quite a lesser degree, some amount of play could still be possible on Day 3 assuming it doesn’t rain any further. Readers must note that match officials are scheduled to conduct another pitch inspection very soon.

Having said that, even a successful outcome will need some amount of time for the ground staff to prepare ideal playing conditions. Another passage of rain, meanwhile, will all but rule out the probability of players not getting to do their thing even for an hour on Saturday.

Unlike today, tomorrow promises to be an on-time start to the day’s play as not much rain is predicted to pour over the stadium on the penultimate day of the contest.

Going by tried and tested weather portal AccuWeather, rain probability is expected to be in single digits in the morning. A possibly uninterrupted first session, however, could be followed by some amount of rainfall falling in the second session on the back of a 25% rain probability.

While there are chances of players surviving the rain gods’ brunt in the first two sessions, it would require for them a lot of fortune to be playing the evening session without any trespassing on the part of weather. A chief reason behind the same is a 56% rain probability anticipated between 5-6 PM (local time).
