Headingley Leeds Cricket Ground Weather Today For Day 3 Of 3rd Ashes 2023 Test

Headingley weather has forced a delay in the start of the third day’s play of the ongoing third Ashes 2023 Test match between England and Australia today. With it raining in Leeds at the moment, players could have no option than to remain indoors for some time considering the minimal possibility of the weather clearing up, at least in the first hour.

The development has made this match the third in a row to have been disrupted by climatic conditions. While there’s nothing novel about a cricket match being played in England getting affected due to rain, rain forecast for the day wasn’t expected to not be conducive for live action on Day 1. In fact, the first day of the match was slated to witness a rain interruption but weather held up quite well on the day before yesterday.

As far as weather for the rest of the day is concerned, Headingley could be witness to a start-stop arrangement on a day which could well be the decider in the larger scheme of things in this match.

Going by reliable weather portal AccuWeather, rain probability is expected to reduce to 37% at noon (local time). Having said that, the number is further anticipated to increase to 52% around 02:00 PM. If it rains or continues to rain at that time, even the second session of the day could undergo rain delays.

In spite of some decrease for a couple of hours, rain probability will remain in vicinity of 40% for most part of the day in the city on Saturday. Therefore, it will be interesting to see how many overs are lost on Day 3.
