English all-rounder Ben Stokes is certainly one of the best players to ever play the game of cricket, and the year 2022 was certainly a great one for the all-rounder where he has emerged as one of the best test captains. The way in which England has played under Stokes in tests has been breathtaking to watch.

Stokes was made the captain of the side last year, and the English side has not a single test series under his captaincy. It is quite funny that Stokes is very popular in India as well as his name resembles an Indian cuss word. Whenever Virat Kohli uses that word, the Indian audience spam Stokes by mentioning him everywhere.

Kohli is very aggressive in his approach, and he gets out of control in his celebrations. He cusses a lot as well, and it has been audible on various stump mic recordings. In 2020, Stokes gave an entertaining reply to an Indian fan on Twitter.

Ben Stokes once won hearts of the cricket fans by giving a hilarious reply to a fan on Twitter. A fan asked Stokes what he will ask Virat Kohli if he was on a phone call with him. Stokes gave a witty reply that nobody expected, it is well known that Virat gives an Indian cuss word that sounds similar to ‘Ben Stokes’.

“If you were on the phone with Virat Kohli, what would you tell him?,” A fan asked Ben Stokes on Twitter.

“Ben Stokes” if you know you know,” Ben Stokes tweeted.

The tweet certainly went viral, but Stokes was forced to delete it as people started sharing the GIFs of Kohli cussing the same word. It is certain that Stokes is quite famous in India and his resemblance to that cuss word is known to everyone as well.

During the 2021 test series, both Kohli and Stokes got engaged in a fight, but they do share a mutual respect for each other. When Stokes announced his retirement from ODI cricket last year, Kohli was one of the few Indian cricketers to give good wishes to Stokes.
