Born on October 22, 1993 in Amrawati, Maharashtra, Vidarbha and Punjab Kings wicket-keeper batter Jitesh Sharma was hardly interested in pursuing Cricket as a career option growing up.

He did used to play with the plastic balls as a kid, but his mind never wavered from his dream of making it into the Indian armed forces. However, some relationships in life are just meant to be.
The now 29-year-old, only took up the sport in the lure of scoring those extra 4% marks during the Maharashtra Board examinations. While it was Football which Jitesh naturally went for as a recreational activity, it were his friends who advised him to go for Cricket, as one could fetch those additional marks only if one made it into the State Cricket team.
The decision meant that Cricket would not leave Jitesh’s hand from there on. While he consistently performed for Vidarbha in the domestic level, he rose into prominence when he displayed his class and caliber during the previous edition of the IPL, while playing for the Punjab Kings.

While there is not much information with regard to his personal, romantic relationships, what we do know is that Jitesh Sharma has not been married as yet, and hence does not have a wife.
A simple glance through his Instagram handle, one one will find quite a many pictures of him alongside his IPL teammates, family and even male friends from his childhood, but not a single snap of him out on a date or otherwise with his potential love interest.
With him deciding to keep this aspect of life under wraps and relatively low-key, we cannot confirm whether or not he is dating someone.

Impressed with his talent, Mumbai Indians had roped Jitesh into their squad at INR 10 Lakh, during the 2016 IPL auction. He remained with the side for a couple of seasons, but was not handed an opportunity to play during the period.
He had to wait until IPL 2022 to get his maiden IPL cap, after Punjab Kings roped in him at INR 20 Lakh during the mega auction. He impressed straightaway, and played some handy knocks and cameos for his side while coming into bat at No.5 and 6 in the order.
He in fact, ended as PBKS fourth-highest run-getter last year, scoring at a strike rate of 163.63.
