Joe Burns catch vs Renegades: Watch Heat fielder grabs spectacular catch to dismiss Mackenzie Harvey in BBL 10

Joe Burns catch vs Renegades: The batsman from Brisbane Heat timed his jump to perfection to grab a one-handed stunner.

During the 39th match of the ongoing 10th season of the Big Bash League between Brisbane Heat and Melbourne Renegades in Canberra, Brisbane Heat opening batsman Joe Burns made his presence felt on the field with a vital contribution behind dismissing Melbourne Renegades opening batsman Mackenzie Harvey.

It all happened on the third delivery of the fifth over when Harvey’s attempt to cut Brisbane Heat spinner Matthew Kuhnemann resulted in his dismissal.

While there was nothing wrong with the shot selection, Harvey hitting the ball in the air was the last thing he wanted with two fielders in the circle.

Burns, who was fielding at point, timed his jump to perfection to grab a one-handed spectacular catch to bring an end to Harvey’s innings. Opening the batting with Shaun Marsh (0), Harvey was dismissed after scoring 20 (14) with the help of two fours and a six.

Earlier, it was Heat captain Chris Lynn who won the toss and invited Renegades in to bat. Struggling substantially this season, Renegades were reduced to 59/4 in the first eight overs which also included captain Aaron Finch scoring 13 (13) after demoting himself to No. 4.
