Jofra Archer Twitter: Tino Best apologizes to English pacer after Twitter jibe

Tino Best apologizes to English pacer: The former West Indian pacer and the English spearhead exchanged heated remarks on Twitter.

Former West Indies fast bowler Tino Best and current England fast bowler Jofra Archer found themselves in a heated argument on social media platform Twitter on the back of the latter’s performance on the third day of the ongoing first Test of West Indies’ tour of India in Southampton.

It all started after Best tweeted to express his disagreement with respect to England including Archer in the Playing XI at veteran seamer Stuart Broad’s expense. “I have no problem with Broad being pissed,” wrote Best regarding Broad being angry and gutted over Southampton snub.

Most part of Best’s criticism was around Archer bowling at a similar pace as that of Broad and the same defying England’s motive of playing two outright fast bowler in him and Wood. Archer registering bowling of 22-3-61-0 played a vital role in the visitors gaining a 114-run lead in the first innings.

The outspoken nature of Archer quickly prompted him to respond to the 38-year old Best. “With all this knowledge how are you not a coach yet ?,” wrote Archer.

Best then posted a series of tweets to highlight how Archer hasn’t bowled at express pace in Test matches especially since last year’s Ashes series. Best also apologized to Archer for “going at each other” publicly.
