Jonny Bairstow dismissal vs Pakistan: Watch Shaheen Shah Afridi bowls inch-perfect yorker to English opener

Jonny Bairstow dismissal vs Pakistan: The English opening batsman received an absolute jaffa by the Pakistani fast bowler.

During the third T20I of the ongoing Pakistan’s tour of England in Manchester, Pakistan speedster Shaheen Shah Afridi made early inroads into the English batting lineup by dismissing their opening batsman Jonny Bairstow (0) in the first over itself.

Chasing a 191-run target, England didn’t get off to the best of starts as Afridi’s inch-perfect yorker found Bairstow clueless on the third delivery that the faced.

Having registered scores of 2, 44 and 0 in the series, England would have hoped for Bairstow to yield better returns especially in the absence of regular T20I players.

With opening batsman Tom Banton (46) also returning back to the pavilion, England have lost four wickets before the halfway mark and find themselves in a difficult position.

After England captain Eoin Morgan won the toss and invited the visitors in to bat, Pakistan posted a formidable 190/4 in their allotted quota of 20 overs.

It was a 100-run partnership for the third wicket between debutant batsman Haider Ali and veteran all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez which played a vital role in propelling Pakistan to such a score.

While Hafeez registered a career-best score of 86* (52) inclusive of four fours and six sixes, Haider caught the attention of fans around the globe by scoring 54 (33) and becoming the first Pakistani batsman to score a half-century on T20I debut.

As far as the English bowlers are concerned, Chris Jordan was their highest wicket-taker with figures of 4-0-29-1. In addition to Jordan, all-rounder Moeen Ali and pacer Tom Curran picked a wicket each.
