Jordan cricket player: Prasidh Krishna and Chris Jordan engage in verbal battle in PBKS vs KKR IPL 2021 match

Prasidh Krishna and Chris Jordan: The two fast bowlers were seen exchanging words with each other at the Narendra Modi Stadium.

During the 21st match of the ongoing 14th season of the Indian Premier League between Punjab Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders in Ahmedabad, Kolkata Knight Riders fast bowler Prasidh Krishna and his Punjab Kings counterpart Chris Jordan were involved in a verbal battle.

It all had happened after Krishna dismissed Jordan in the last over of the first innings but only after conceding a couple of sixes in the same over.

Having scored 18* (14) before the last over, Jordan smashed two short deliveries from Krishna over the in-field to provide a little cushion for himself and his co-bowlers.

On the fourth delivery of the same over, Jordan was undone by Krishna’s slower delivery as the ball hit the off-stump. Playing his first IPL 2021 match, Jordan create substantial impact for Kings with his 30 (18) comprising of a four and three sixes.

Having eventually dismissed Jordan, Krishna was seen giving the 29-year old player a send-off. Jordan, who had won the larger battle against Krishna, didn’t shy away from responding to the KKR pacer.

While opening batsman Mayank Agarwal did score 31 (34), Punjab needed much more from him especially after facing more than five overs. Otherwise, it was yet another shambolic batting performance from Kings as all they could manage was 123/9 in 20 overs.

With bowling figures of 4-0-30-3, Krishna was the pick of Knight Riders’ bowlers as he also dismissed Deepak Hooda (1) and Shahrukh Khan (13). Apart from Krishna, Sunil Narine and Pat Cummins picked a couple of wickets each.
