Barring Nicholas Pooran scoring a hard-hitting 77 (37), none of the other KXIP batsmen was among the runs. After winning the toss and electing to bat, Sunrisers had scored 201/6 in 20 overs after their opening batsman in David Warner (52) and Jonny Bairstow (97) scored individual half-centuries.
