LPL all team squad 2022: LPL Sri Lanka 2022 teams and player list

The 3rd season of the Lanka Premier League is set to start tomorrow with the defending champions Jaffna Kings taking on Galle Gladiators in the first match of the tournament at the Mahinda Rajapaksa International Stadium in Hambantota. Both teams played in the final of the last season.

A couple of seasons of the tournament have been played so far, and interestingly the Jaffna franchise has won the tournament on both occasions. Jaffna Stallions won in 2020, whereas Jaffna Kings won in 2021, and Galle Gladiators has been the unlucky team to lose in the final on both occasions.

A total of 5 teams will be taking part in the tournament i.e Jaffna Kings, Galle Gladiators, Colombo Stars, Dambulla Giants and Kandy Falcons. In the league stage, a total of 20 matches will be played and the top 4 teams will qualify for the playoffs. The final will be played on 23 December, 2022.

The tournament will start in Hambantota, and the caravan will then move to Pallekele and Colombo. Colombo’s R Premadasa Stadium will host all the playoff matches.
