Lucknow vs Mumbai Head To Head Record in IPL History

Having faced each other for the only time during the ongoing 16th season of the Indian Premier League exactly one week ago, Lucknow Super Giants and Mumbai Indians will lock horns for the first time in a knockout match. Third and fourth on IPL 2023 points table respectively, one out of these two teams will be eliminated from IPL 2023 tomorrow.

Currently in progress at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, IPL 2023 Qualifier 1 is being played between Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings. Much like CSK losing their first three matches against GT, MI are also yet to defeat LSG in spite of three outings in the past including two last year and one this year.

Speaking of the latest encounter between them, Super Giants had restricted Indians to 172/5 to successfully defend a 178-run target by 5 runs at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium. Taking into consideration how conditions in Chennai are quite akin to Lucknow, it wouldn’t be wrong to term Krunal Pandya and his men as the favourites ahead of this clash.

A startling similarity in the previous three matches between Lucknow and Mumbai is that the latter had won the toss and chose to bowl only to not be able to seal a run-chase on each occasion.
