M Chinnaswamy Stadium Pitch Report for RCB vs RR IPL 2023 Match in Bengaluru

The 32nd league match of Indian Premier League 2023 will be played between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rajasthan Royals at Bengaluru’s M Chinnaswamy Stadium. Two ‘Royal’ teams are up against each other on a track that has produced some high-quality T20 games.

RCB won their last match in Mohali and they will be eager to continue their run in their home conditions. The form of captain Faf du Plessis and former captain Virat Kohli has been incredible at the top. All-rounder Glenn Maxwell has to fire in this match as the openers cannot score all the runs.

Talking about the Royals, they lost their last match against Lucknow Super Giants. The duo of captain Sanju Samson and vice-captain Jos Buttler will love the conditions here in Bengaluru. However, the place of Riyan Parag in the side will again be a thing of debate.

The Chinnaswamy Stadium is set to host its fifth match of the tournament. As expected, the track has been an absolute belter so far. There is absolutely no visible out there for batting and there is an even bounce on the surface which will encourage the batters to play their shots at will.

“It looks like a batting paradise. How much is enough? 212 wasn’t enough that day (RCB vs LSG) and today also it is a batting paradise,” Pommie Mbangwa said on Star Sports in his analysis of the pitch ahead of the RCB vs CSK match.

The average first-innings score in IPL 2023 here has been 195 runs which tells the story of this wicket. With a lightening quick outfield and shorter boundaries, the bowlers will certainly have a hard time here. The longest boundary at this ground is around 71 metres.

This is a ground where the chasing teams have performed well and both captains would love to do the same in this match as well. Another high-scoring encounter is on the cards.
