MSD Birthday Wishes: Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya and fans post heartfelt wishes on MS Dhoni's 39th birthday

MSD Birthday Wishes: The legendary Indian cricketer has already started to receive plentiful wishes on his 39th birthday.

Veteran India wicket-keeper batsman Mahendra Singh Dhoni has turned 39 today. Given the craze of the legendary cricketer among his fans, he had started to receive heartening birthday wishes even before midnight.

As promised in April, West Indies and Chennai Super Kings all-rounder Dwayne Bravo took released a single track on his CSK captain to celebrate his birthday. Titled ‘Helicopter 7’, the song has started to do the rounds across social media platforms.

Dhoni, who last played for India during the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, missed the West Indies tour (and all subsequent series) last year due to his training for the parachute regiment of the Indian Army in Kashmir valley.

To receive such kind of admiration from fans despite his nearly year-long absence from the game speaks highly about the former India captain; something which records and numbers can’t elucidate.

Had it not been for the novel COVID-19 outbreak, Dhoni would have taken part in the 13th season of the Indian Premier League. Dhoni’s performance in the tournament would have also answered the conundrum regarding his participation in the ICC T20 World Cup 2020 in Australia.

However, with the World Cup all set to be postponed and the next world event slated to be played after more than a year, it is difficult to presume anything with respect to Dhoni’s international future.

If reports around IPL 2020 are to be believed, there are rich prospects of Dhoni playing the cash-rich league outside of India during the slot which is likely to be vacated by the world event.
