In fact, a classic high-scoring thriller would be an fitting gift for thousands of cricket-crazy fans who have turned up to watch the match on a reserve day.

Speaking particularly of the ongoing 16th season of the IPL, five out of the Top 10 T20 scores at the Narendra Modi Stadium have come this season. Gujarat, home team and defending champions, have been at the giving and receiving ends four and one time respectively.

The latter is also the highest successful T20 run-chase here. Sixth-highest total here, the match is popularly remembered for Kolkata Knight Riders batter Rinku Singh scoring five sixes in a Yash Dayal final over last month.
