Punjab Kings new jersey: Punjab Kings launch new jersey for IPL 2021

Punjab Kings new jersey: After changing their name ahead of a new season, Punjab Kings have also made a few changes to their jersey.

Indian Premier League franchise Punjab Kings have revealed their new jersey ahead of the 14th season of the biggest T20 league set to begin from April 9.

Known as Kings XI Punjab since the inaugural IPL season in 2008, Kings changed their name to Punjab Kings before IPL 2021 auction last month.

It is worth mentioning that Punjab are among three franchises with Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bangalore being the others to have not won an IPL titles despite playing since IPL 2008.

Following a change in name, Punjab have made another significant change in the form of a new jersey. The development was made public via a video uploaded across their social media handles.

While the primary colour of their jersey remains the same, the minor changes to their jersey involve addition of golden stripes on the shoulders.

In another similarity from IPL 2020, financial transaction platform EbixCash will continue to be their primary sponsor on the jersey. The other sponsors on the jersey will comprise the likes of BKT, All Seasons, Lotus Herbals, Dream11 and Jio.

Another visible change which will be seen regarding Punjab Kings is that their batsmen will be supporting a golden helmet from IPL 2021 as compared to a red helmet which they had been wearing over the years. The same can already be observed in the videos and photographs coming out from their practice sessions.

Kings, who had finished IPL 2020 as the sixth-ranked team despite a praiseworthy comeback in the second half of the league stage in the UAE, will play their IPL 2021 season opener against Rajasthan Royals in Mumbai.
