No points for guessing, it is the former Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Virat Kohli, who has skippered the franchise across maximum number of matches from 2011 onwards. While it the South African former captain Faf du Plessis who is leading the side since the previous season, Kohli did lead the team across a few matches in his absence during the ongoing 16th edition of the league.

During the inaugural season in the year 2008, it was the present head coach of the Indian national team Rahul Dravid, who had led RCB across the 14 league matches.
While there have been many other big names who have led the franchise over the years, none of them have gone all the way to lead them to a title triumph, despite making it through to the grand finale three times during the 2009, 2011, and 2016 edition.
How Many Players have Led Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL History?
Seven players have skippered Royal Challengers Bangalore since the inaugural edition of the coveted league in 2008.
After Kohli, former India spinner Anil Kumble had lead the franchise the maximum number of times – 26. However, du Plessis will surpass his tally in the ongoing season.
Kohli, Kumble, and Dravid are the three Indian captains, while Daniel Vettori, Kevin Pietersen, du Plessis, and Shane Watson have been the four overseas captains to have led them over the years.
Watson had led RCB across three matches during the 2017 edition, after Kohli had missed those fixtures due to a shoulder injury he had sustained during the Ranchi Test against Australia that year.
