Sanju Samson fielding: Watch Indian batsman's magnificent fielding effort saves four runs for India in Sydney T20I

Sanju Samson fielding: The Indian batsman once again put on display a spectacular fielding effort to save four runs at the SCG.

During the third T20I of the ongoing India’s tour of Australia in Sydney, India batsman Sanju Samson save four runs for his team in the form of a spectacular fielding effort at long-on.

It all happened on the second delivery of the 14th over when Australia all-rounder Glenn Maxwell took the charge against India pacer Shardul Thakur. Having hit an ordinary delivery towards long-on, Maxwell had supposed the shot to clear the boundary but it wasn’t to be as Samson played spoilsport for the hosts.

At long-on, the 26-year old player jumped backwards to catch the ball and throw it back into the playing area just before his feet touched the ground inside the boundary.

Samson, who made a T20I comeback after four and a half years earlier this year, has been superb on the field at both the highest level and in the Indian Premier League.

With Australia vice-captain Matthew Wade and Maxwell punishing the Indian bowlers at will, Samson saving a boundary could mean a lot for the visitors in the long run. It is worth mentioning that Wade has scored his second consecutive half-century at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
