CSK vs SRH Man of the Match

CSK vs SRH Man of the Match: Chennai Super Kings star batsman was declared the Man of the Match for his splendid knock.

During the 41st match of the ongoing 12th season of the Indian Premier League between Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad at Chennai, Chennai Super Kings defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by 6 wickets. Having registered their eight IPL 2019 victory, Super Kings have now qualified for the playoffs of the tournament.

After Chennai captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni won the toss and put the visitors in to bat, Hyderabad ended up scoring 175/3 in their allotted quota of 20 overs. Manish Pandey, who was brought back into the Playing XI tonight, top-scored after scoring his 13th IPL half-century.

Remaining unbeaten till the end, Pandey scored 83* (49) with the help of  seven fours and three sixes. With bowling figures of 4-0-39-2, veteran CSK bowler Harbhajan Singh was the pick of the bowlers for Super Kings.

Chasing a 176-run target, Super Kings were bolstered by opening batsman Shane Watson’s 17th IPL half-century. Despite Faf du Plessis (1) getting out in the third over, Watson gave the impression of being determined to lay a solid foundation for his team.

Primarily starting with a 77-run partnership for the second wicket alongside Suresh Raina (38), Watson then stitched an 80-run partnership for the third wicket alongside Ambati Rayudu. Before getting out in the 18th over, the 37-year old cricketer ended up scoring 96 (53) with the help of nine fours and six sixes.

Coming on the back of a lean patch, Watson justified the trust shown in him by the team management. With him finding form during the business end of IPL 2019, Chennai would be delighted. Watson was declared the ‘Man of the Match’ for his match-winning innings.
