Sheffield Shield 2020-21 new schedule and fixtures: When and where will Sheffield Shield matches be played?

Sheffield Shield 2020-21 new schedule and fixtures: The SportsRush present for you full list of fixtures of Sheffield Shield.

Sheffield Shield, Australia’s most prestigious first-class tournament, will recommence from February 17 after a more than three-month gap due to international cricket and the 10th season of the recently concluded Big Bash League.

A primary reason why domestic cricket in Australia will be closely followed across the globe will be the presence of their first-choice Test players after their tour of South Africa has been postponed.

Defending champions New South Wales will host Victoria in the first match after the break at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Having won two out of their three matches so far, New South Wales are at the second position on the points table. Victoria, on the other hand, are at the fifth position on the back of drawing both their matches in the first leg.

Queensland, who are the current table-toppers, will also resume the tournament from February 17 as they are scheduled to face Tasmania in an away fixture.

Unlike the Marsh Cup, the tournament will be played throughout the months of February, March and April with enough slots for the One-Day competition in between.

What followed for an 8-year-old was an instant adulation for both Ganguly and the sport. The optimist in him is waiting for the day when Punjab Kings will win their maiden Indian Premier League title. When not watching cricket, he is mostly found in a cinema hall watching a Punjabi movie.
