Shikhar Dhawan runs in IPL 2020: IPL 2020 Orange Cap list

IPL 2020 Orange Cap list: The SportsRush presents for you the list of highest run-scorers before Indian Premier League 2020 final.

The 13th season of the ongoing Indian Premier League will culminate tomorrow after the final match between Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals in Dubai.

Considering the past records at the three venues where all the IPL 2020 matches were to be played, a large chunk of low-scoring matches were expected. While the pitches turned towards the slower side in the second half of IPL 2020, it wasn’t the case primarily especially in the first half.

Kings XI Punjab captain Lokesh Rahul is currently the highest run-scorer on the night before the final match. In 14 IPL 2020 matches, Rahul has scored 670 runs at an average of 55.83 and a strike rate of 129.34 including one century and five half-centuries.

The only batsman who can occupy Rahul’s top position is Delhi opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan. In 16 T20s this season, Dhawan has scored 603 runs at an average and strike rate of 46.38 and 145.65 respectively to register his best-ever season.

Mumbai Indians pair of Ishan Kishan (483) and Quinton de Kock (483) are the next best on the list when it comes to players who will take part in IPL 2020 final at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. However, given the deficit, it is almost impossible that either of Kishan or de Kock will surpass Rahul as the top-scorer of IPL 2020.

Playing his maiden IPL season, Royal Challengers Bangalore opening batsman Devdutt Padikkal deserves a special mention for scoring 473 in 15 outings at an average and strike rate of 31.53 and 124.80 respectively including five half-centuries.
